Synopsis
Amsterdam, 1959. The new Buurgerweeshuis has just opened its glass doors to 150 orphan children. Today, the building remains, standing still, massive, and reminding the by passer of the educational and architectural ideals it once embraced. The film Conversation with a Fallen Ideal explores these parallels between the then and the now to capture the dream of a perfect institution that is now floating away with memories.
